SEAA Road Relays and the forthcoming XC Season [0]

The Southern road relays are on Sat 27th Sept. Book in diaries. It is Aldershot as usual. We're looking for a strong M40 and M50 teams, so Luke says no excuses. It would be good if you could race either assembley league at beckenham or club 5000m so the selectors can have a look at current form.

Olympic Trials and National Champs [0]

The club was well represented in the National Champs and Olympic trials in Birmingham on 11th - 13th July. Jonathan Browne came 6th in his heat in the 100m in 10.79s. In the 400m Conrad Williams was 2nd in his heat in 48.

Southern League Report - Match 5 [0]

That's more like it. Some excellent performances and a third place for the B team at Ladywell on Saturday. We beat two teams above us in the League and got pretty close to two promotion contenders. With twenty competing athletes and loads of guests, there's life in the old dog yet.

Southern League match report from Chelmsford [0]

Oh dear, another bad day for the B team in Essex (is there any other sort of day in Essex?). We were up against exceptionally strong opposition and there were some good performances, but we'll always struggle in this Division when we can't fill all of the events.

Jeffrey AAA u23 Champion and T&F Round-up [0]

This years AAA's u20/23 champions and World Junior Trials was probably the most sucessful for Kent AC athletics. The atheltes suffered from a windy Bedford track with wind speeds of up to 6.8 which causes problems for those looking for qualifying times.

Juniors impress at the London Schools Champs [0]

A group of our junior runners impressed at the London Schools Championships on Saturday. Quasar Mays managed to win the inter boys 400 Hurdles in a seasons best of 64 seconds. It was a small field but you can only beat those who turn up.

Update from the Southern Track and Field champs at Crystal Palace, some great performances from Kent AC athletes with two gold and two bronze medals, including: Conrad Williams being selected to run at the European Cup in Annecy in the 4x400.

On the face of it disappointing- fifth and last. However, considering our very slim resources it was probably as good as could be expected. The small select band who competed did well. Rawlston and Trevor covered a lot of events whilst Theo got a PB in the 800.

Track roundup from the weekend and new club long jump record [0]

At the London interclub-challenge there were some great performance over the sticks on the 400mH, all close to or better than PBs. Antoni Davis Phillip - 55.18s, Quasar Mays - 64.22s, Shaun Mulligan - 55.
