Introduction
We are a small but enthusiastic group and welcome women of all ages and abilities. Most of us concentrate on running although we have a few members who are dedicated field athletes.
We compete in local road and cross country leagues and the veterans (women over 35) take part in track and field matches during the summer. We race most distances but the majority are between 5K and 10K. You do not have to race but if you are fit, you will probably want to give it a go.

Training
Our training sessions are Tuesday evenings. To make the most of these, you need to be able to run 30 minutes, however slowly, without stopping. We meet at Ladywell at 6.45pm and start training shortly after. We do hill, interval and other speed sessions, finishing around 8pm.
Sundays are our long runs and are arranged on an ad hoc basis. We meet at Beckenham Place Park or Oxleas Woods. Occasionally, we venture further afield, for example, to Joyden’s Wood and Foots Cray Meadows. We meet around 9am for a run of about an hour to an hour and a half and usually go for a much-needed cup of tea afterwards.
Although we are officially the women's section, a few of the men prefer to train with us.
