Sounds a bit the like the title of a folk tune, but it is running related. A number of club athletes were out in action over the weekend 8/9 September in a number of road races (and probably more that I'm not aware of!) Some great performances with no less than three first places.

In Ely (Cambridgeshire), Dave Child was 1st MV45 in the Grunty Fen half marathon in 1h19:52, and 11th place overall. Way out west, Jermaine Mays won the Cardiff 10k in 30:14. Closer to home, James Connor ventured north of the river to win the Middlesex 10k at Victoria Park in 31:37. .
