Fourth place at Sutcliffe Park in sunny South East London, for our B Team of runners, throwers and jumpers on Saturday 23 June, but it was a good fourth place. We were up against the top three teams in the league and we got close to two of them.

Lots of good individual performances, including six pb's unless I'm very much mistaken: Rudy (110h), Rawlston (800), Billy (800 + 4x400), Tom (3000s/c) and Wesley (LJ). Tashan and Wesley both equalled their pb's in the high jump, and there were courageous performances from Trevor and Luke to name just a couple. Billy won Man of the Match. It was great to welcome back Roger Hilton and the Frost Brothers, which sounds like a country & western band. Let's hope they've caught the bug again.

Next match: 14 July at Battersea Park. It's a big one. We've slipped to 16th in the League Table and will be up against three of our relegation rivals. By 'eck, it's a reet six pointer, as Alfred Grimsey probably wouldn't say.
