On Saturday, there was an excellent turnout for the junior & U17 men and womens team at the second Kent XC league race of the season. The junior team finished in 2nd place and remain in 2nd place in the overall standings. The u17 mens team placed 4th in a very strong field. The senior womens team matched that with 4th team place too. The senior mens team were lower in numbers than expected, but still managed to field a team that finished in 7th place.

On Sunday, we had a few runners in the Wilmington 10k, which hosted the Kent County 10k road Championship. Luke Armitage had a great run in very poor conditions, very strong winds and rain, hilly course. He came 3rd in 35.00 to win Kent M40 champs by 7 secs, beating Dave Hall of Dartford Road Runners. Dean Lacy won easily but, Luke was clear in second until near the end, and was just pipped on last hill by Marc Clayton of Beckenham Running Club. Ellie Brown and Liz Waith also ran in Kent AC colours.
