The club was well represented in the National Champs and Olympic trials in Birmingham on 11th - 13th July. Jonathan Browne came 6th in his heat in the 100m in 10.79s. In the 400m Conrad Williams was 2nd in his heat in 48.38, 47.08 in the semis and ran 47.10 in the final coming 7th with Martyn Rooney of Croyon winning in 45.31.
In the 200m, Jonathan Browne ran 21.85s in heat 1 and 21.38 in the semis. Jeffrey Lawal-Balogun ran 21.09s in heat 6 and 21.13 in the semis and qualifying for the final where he ran a PB of 20.88, with Christian Malcolm winning in 20.52s.
Jermaine Mays qualified for the 1500m final, running 3:48.09 in the heats, and then finishing the final in 3:49.01s, with Tom Lancashire winning in 3:38.92, with Mo Farah in second place.
