Massive congratulations to Gary Thornton, who after finishing 8th in the Irish trials was rewarded with a run in the World Champs in Edinburgh and his first International vest. He is also the club's first member to compete at the World Cross Country Championships, held in Edinburgh in 2008. Against the worlds elite athletes he finished 145th, as the 5th Irishman home. Let's hope this is the first of many international appearances.
