In gale like conditions Kent AC blew away the opposition to maintain their promotion push by closing their 10 man team in the first 15 places home. Fresh from his marathon debut in Frankfurt in 2 hours 27 min Team Captain James Connor ran away from the field to secure an easy win with Richard Phillips coming through on the second lap to gain a comfortable runners up slot as the wind speeds reached 40 mph. Hosts Croydon Harriers used home advantage to full effect to come home in second place and now move into the other promotion slot.
It is extremely impressive that we can get 16 people out to race on such a miserable day.
Keep fit for the forthcoming fixtures 12/12 and 6/2 and all the other ones which James will keep you informed on.
We are well on track to win the league so two more solid performances should do it.
