After a great start to his Indoor season in the AAA National Indoor Champs in Sheffield on Jan 9th, where he came 4th - only just missing out on a medal in the Heptathlon, Max Hall has not just been rewarded with several PB’s but has been selected to represent Great Britain at Senior level.
In his first competition of the season he showed that he has wintered well with PB’s of 13.09m and 7.20sec in the Shot and 60m respectively and he should be on course to break the magic 7000pts barrier this summer – a sign of a top Decathlete.
He will earn the distinction of his first Senior GB vest when he competes in Rheims in France later this month against France, Spain, Holland and the Czech Republic. All this despite a string of injuries over several years, including a broken ankle that has meant that he has had to relearn both the High jump and Long Jump and come off his other foot ! He joins Conrad Williams, Jeffrey Lawal- Balogun and Jermaine Mays as current GB Senior Internationals (as well as our Irish Senior International Sean Breathnach) and with several more closing in on their first Senior vests we could well have quite a few guys on the big stage in 2012.
