A small but solid B group squad took third team place in this large competitive seafront 10k. Ok Chris Greenwood is training with the A group now, but his heart is still b group even if his legs are A standard. A slight but significant headwind in the last 3.5 K just took the edge of an otherwise perfect sunny autumn day, but that did not prevent the fast improvering Chris and Paul Bell from registering significant PBs- Chris in 32:47 comfortable going under the 33 minute barrier for the first time and Paul breaking the 35 minute marker in 34:50. Yours truly was happy just hold off Paul for what may well be the last time. Luke Armitage completed our four finishers and four scorers. The team competition was, as always, won by a large and strong Brighton AC team in their own race. XC rivals Reigate Priory were not far ahead of us in second place despite feilding more than 10 times the number of runners as us.
