Our A team went to Crawley for the last British League match of the season knowing that only a top 5 position was needed to gain promotion to the 8 team Premiership of British club athletics but they had to beat City of Liverpool to go up as Champions. After a steady start they simply went in to overdrive and became like a runaway train as they demolished the opposition, scoring no less than 180 out of the last 200 points with all of the last 14 athletes coming 1st or 2nd in their events, with Kent AC amassing the huge total of 364 points.

This was in its self a Club Record and the winning margin of 66 points is one of the largest ever in the League’s history and gives the team a huge lift for 2012 as they take on the best teams in GB. This promotion completes the fairy tale of our rise up 10 divisions in 20 years – a feat unmatched in the history of GB club athletics.
