A couple of late withdrawals left the b group with only 3 runners in the race. Marathon men Matthew Llewellin and Paul Bell in their first summer of shorter distances continued to learn how different the shorter races are. Solid runs from Paul( 14th 17:35)and Matthew, in his first 5k( 13th 17.34), and a storming PB from Alex Moreau ( 5th 16:52) left the three thinking they had bagged the 3 to count team prize, only for hopes to be dashed when they discovered that Beckenham had pipped them by a couple of places , the deciding runner being our own b group regular Stuart Scott (15th 17:48) running for Beckenham on the night.
