Yet more evidence of the B squads strength in depth as Kent AC retained the team title we won last year. Despite only 2 of the same runners as last year being in the 6 to count the B group registered a cumulative time of 3 hours 32 minutes- an average of 35 minutes 20 seconds- to see off teams from Stagglers,Clapham Chasers,Sutton Runners and Ranelagh Harriers. Performance of the day came from Steve McGrory. Having completed a tough Half marathon the sunday before and a fast 10k on the wednesday Steve was still only a second or two outside his PB, finishing in 33:11 4th overall and 1st V40 by a country mile. Having finished outside the counters last year the fast improving Dan Hale was second to count with a PB of 35.02. Yours truly was pleased to be 3rd to count although disappointed to be beaten again in the V50 race. Simon Loach was 4th to count holding on to finish as 2nd V40 in 35.39. Alex Moreau registered a Pb of 36:12 and Matthew Llewellin rounded of the team in his 10 k debut.
