Jack Green is European U23 Champion after pulling out a great performance in the Final of the 400m Hurdles in Ostrava in the Czech Republic in a time of 49.13 sec.

After an easy win in his heat he sensibly backed off in the Semi final, doing just enough to qualify for the final the next day. This more than paid off as he stormed the last 100m of the Final taking the lead on the last hurdle to crown a superb season which has seen him bring down his PB to 48.98 sec and put him in with a real chance of making the GB team for the World Champs in August – despite still only being 19 years of age !
