A massive well done to all of you who ran and came to support the National XC at the weekend. In very tough muddy conditions, our depleted team secured a very creditable 9th position in the 6 to score event beating the likes of Herne Hill and Aldershot. We also had a great team night out in Uttoxeter, with a few casualties the next day!

John Gilbert had another solid run to finish in 31st, followed home by Jermaine and James (53rd and 59th, respectively) who were separated by 6 seconds. New boy Chris Greenwood underlined his talent in finishing 190th and was closely followed in by Ian Cardy 210th, and Andy Moreton 213th. Andrew Dunwoody marked the National as his comeback race and rallied in the thick mud to finish 256th, Stuart Beaney secured 356th, Lee Haze 520th to close the 9 man team. Stuart Scott finished 658th and Nick Park 877th. Well done to Andy Sellars and Pete also who ran (I am not totally sure who ran under which name - sorry).

Unfortunately we lost Steve McGrory on the Friday evening to the MOD, Paul Pollock mid week due to Flu, Simon Loach, Danny MacKay, Rich Munn, Jon Gill and Andy Pickett.

The team result put us third placed London running club, closely behind Highgate Harriers and Blackheath & Bromley Harriers.

Next year the National is in London.
