A third straight win for the B Team at Woking on Saturday, which leaves us unbeaten and top of Division 2 South.  After a tight start, we gradually edged away from the gentlemen of Epsom & Ewell and eventually won comfortably with 127 points, the highest total in the Division so far this year. It was great to have some A Team support from Jon Browne and Josh Brown, who set a new B Team long jump record and made an excellent partnership with the returning Leon George. Other notable performances included: impressive debuts from Callum Fraser, Su-Min Lee and Cion Johnson-Smith (thank you, Mr Gibbons); three pb's in the steeplechase from Chris, Richard and Dan in his first ever chase; and Alex Moreau's pb in the 5k whilst simultaneously making this photographic record of the match (see link below).

Josh won the Man of the Match award for two A string wins and a new B Team record, closely followed by Albert (14 points out of 16 in the throws), Hassan (two A string wins and a great relay leg) and Nick (excellent Benny Hill-related trivia in the pub afterwards).

The next match is the big one, I reckon. 30th July at Parliament Hill and much stronger opposition. If we win that, we'll surely get promoted unless we do a Rory McIlroy or a Devon Loch (Google it) in the last match on 13th August. Please all clear your diaries and cancel that trip to Magaluf so you can make your contribution.
