Return to Track Survey Results
There is a huge demand to get back on the Ladywell track, but there is also interest to use Sutcliffe Park track, according to the recent Return to Track Survey which was completed by 117 club members. Club President Alan Curtis said: “It is clear that you want to get back to training, you want to meet on the usual nights of Tuesday and Thursday (but some could do other days), and you want to be back at Ladywell but most are prepared to use Sutcliffe Park as an alternative.
“We are doing all we can to secure Ladywell Arena access. A plan to restart training will be issued very shortly, but we will not be waiting on the track reopening.”
You can read the results of the survey on the club website now.
Update to EA Return to Competition Guidance
From 22nd August up to 12 athletes can compete in middle distance events on the track and eight in sprint and relay events, England Athletics announced. However, race distances are still capped at 3000m. Read the guidance here.
