THE SAL NEEDS YOU!
Our goal this season is to aim for promotion. To achieve this we need to fill out as many events as we can. It’s a great day out and non-scorers are allowed. There really is no minimum standard so please get involved.
This season the traditional scoring system returns and promotion and relegation are back and we should certainly be competing to elevate our status. We will be competing for this honour against the Herne Hill Harriers, London City AC, St Mary’s Richmond and Sutton and District.
To take part you must be a Kent AC member and registered with England Athletics. Those without England Athletics membership can add this on via the club website.
If you are interested in volunteering then that would be very helpful. No experience is needed but those with experience are of course welcome. It is often possible to both compete and do some volunteering.
Any questions then please contact Ian Ellwood ()

A SEA OF NAVY BLUE
It was an extremely lively event with plenty of great running on show, with Dame Dibaba mixing it up at the front to finish in 2nd place overall, whilst the first lady home was our very own Sarah Hanley!
Results are still being finalised from the race in true Assembly League fashion, but to see the latest set then click here!
The next fixture will be on Thursday 9th June in Victoria Park over 3.5 miles – see you there.

A BRITISH CHAMPS PODIUM…
The race also featured as the British Championships over the distance, with the total of the top three times giving the club’s finishing position. Well done to Katie Rowland, Sarah Hanley, Georgina Wiley-Stinson and Jen Berg, great running!
Our first men’s team came in 12th place overall with Dan Pettitt, Barny Day, Calum Fraser and Fergus Johnson making up the four.
Most of the successful team (sorry Georgina!) l-r: Sarah Hanley, Victoria Buck, Katie Rowland and Jen Berg.
