KENT AC NEWS BULLETIN
31 July 2022
Thanks to Jake Simmonds for organising the event.
It was fabulous to see so many young runners on the evening. Credit must go to all the junor coaches: Ted, John, Hassan, Siggy and everyone else who goes the extra mile to bring on the next generation. We still need more coaches for the juniors, so feel free to step up to train up, it’s a really fulfilling job.
The next Big Thing for competitive members is SAL on 13 August, then Kent AC’s showcase running event, the Ladywell 10,000

PARKRUN FLASH MOB
The next club parkrun will be on 20 August, on a wonderfully quick, flat course at Burgess Park, look out for our own, currently injured, Clare Oxlade, among the marshalls.
The following Kent AC parkrun takeover will be on slightly more challenging terrain: Hillyfields on 17 September. Might volunteer at that one myself.
(Look out for Jonathan Tipper blasting through Burgess having been to Peckham, then owng Hillyfields having completed a spot check at Catford. It’s what he does).

This will likely suit members who can’t make training sessions but would like to train in the morning/lunchtime/evening.
Pay as you go fees can either be paid via cash to the desk or using the Better app (note: staff are working to add the sessions to the app).
