SAL ROUND UP
Well done to everyone who has competed and officiated at the Southern Athletics League this year. We won the final fixture confirming our place at the top of the South London subdivision.
We continued our dominance in the men’s 1500m with Rob Sesseman leading Dan Pettitt home. We have finished 1st in all of this seasons races. Ben Harding was 1st in the 800m with Rob Sesseman following closely in 2nd place.
We had first place finishers in both them Men’s and Womens steeplechase with Joe Hartley and Jen Berg. Jen strung three events back to back with the 1500m, 1500m steeple shortly followed by a leg in the mixed 4x400m team. Safe to say she left everything on the track.
We had several other multi eventers bringing home a haul of points:
-Cameron Irwin (HJ, SP, discus)
-Ian Ellwood (400h, hammer, SP, LJ, TJ, 3000sc, 110h, and 4x 100m)
-Tracey Griffiths (SP, javelin, discus and hammer),
-Rawlston Morian (HJ, Javelin, TJ, hammer and 4x 100m)
-Jo Mott (5000m, discus, javelin and 4x 400m)
-Alexa Parker (200m, 400m, Hammer and 4x 400m)
-Mia Evans continues to impress with a win in the shot put and a new PB (100m, 200m , SP)
Thanks to all the officials who have turned out all year. You have been invaluable. Next year we should be in division 2 where we can expect an improved level of competition and some interesting away days – more info as we get it!

This will likely suit members who can’t make training sessions but would like to train in the morning/lunchtime/evening.
