6 Stage Road Relays 2009 (Southern and National)
This autumn we managed to turn adversity into opportunity by giving some new faces a chance to run the 6 stage relays while some of our regulars where unavailable. For the Southern 6 Stage in September we fielded three new faces for the event (Graeme Garner, Lee Haze and Phil Sanders) beside three members with more than 20 appearances between them.
October Results Roundup
Congrats to Phil Sanders who came 2nd in the Beachy Head marathon (3:09) on Sat 24th. The winner (Stuart Mills) has now won the event 6 times, so Phil was very pleased to be the best of the rest!

XC Season 2009-2010
The winter is just around the corner, with the smell of cross country in the air once again! Last weekend was the first race of the season in the Surrey League (and probably the last in such glorious sunshine on a flat track - golf fairway springs to mind!) which started on a good note with us have 6 in the first 7 in this 10 to score team event, and running out clear winners on the day.
Surrey League 1
New boys to the league Kent AC overwhelmed the opposition by placing 6 men in the first 7 positions held in summerlike conditions on the firm lawnlike conditions at Cranford Park, Middlesex.
.IAAF World Champs 09
Many congratulations to Conrad Williams who won a Silver medal at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. He ran the first leg in the 4x400m, setting the GB team up for a second placing behind the awesome US team.
Southern 6 stage relay
As the summer season draws to a close it is time once again to turn our attention to the 6 stage road relays.
As normal we will be having the Kent AC Club 5K Track Championship prior to the Southern 6 Stage, which we will use as a selection race.
XC County Leagues 2009-10
Even though it is only the begining of August and I imagine the thought of wet, muddy cross country races are far from most people's minds I thought it was fitting to give advance notice to all runners about the change to next years racing calendar.

B Team Match 6 at Tonbridge
If you haven't already heard, it's bad news for the B Team following a disappointing fifth place at Tonbridge on Saturday. Once again, there were lots of good performances but the high standard of the other teams and our lack of field athletes, particularly throwers, meant that we lost out.
World Trials (AAA)
Late news in, some great performances at the World Trials on 10/11/12 July 2009. Jermaine Mays won the 1500m in 3.41:26, followed by Lee Emanual of Sheffield in 3:41.82 and Morpeth's Nick McCormick in 3:42.
Thanks from Joe A
Thank you to all those who contributed to my brother's spikes appeal. I visited the village secondary school in Ghana in May and handed over approx 15 pair of spikes shoes. The headmaster held a meeting with all the teachers and l presented the shoes.
The B team visit Woking in the Southern League
Evening all. Fourth place for the B team at Woking. Once again, lots of excellent performances and, in a tough match, we were only six points off second place. Noteworthy performances included Kent AC athletes winning the first three track events of the day, all at 400m hurdles with the third being a pb for Quazar running as a guest in the Division Three match.
