At the London interclub-challenge there were some great performance over the sticks on the 400mH, all close to or better than PBs. Antoni Davis Phillip - 55.18s, Quasar Mays - 64.22s, Shaun Mulligan - 55.
London Marathon Spectators
Join fellow Kent AC members in their annual trudge round London following the sprightly and the reckless in the London marathon. And support this year's participants: David Child, Andy Farquharson, Connor Pollock and Pete Bosxhall.
Gary Thornton represents Ireland at the World XC 2008
Massive congratulations to Gary Thornton, who after finishing 8th in the Irish trials was rewarded with a run in the World Champs in Edinburgh and his first International vest. He is also the club's first member to compete at the World Cross Country Championships, held in Edinburgh in 2008.
uka indoor city challenge final
Immediately after competing at Brunel, Joe Appiah and Jeffrey Lawal-Balogun drove up to Sheffield and represented London South in this 8 team final competition. Jeffrey won the 60m sprint and came 2nd in the 200m after being drawn in a very tight inside lane.
GB Jumps International 13 Feb
Congratulations to Matthew Burton who represented GBR U23 at this annual jumps international at Lee Valley against Holland. He won the triple jump competition with a leap of 14.90m.
.World Indoor Trials 9-10 Feb
A number of Kent AC athletes competed at the Norwich Union Indoor World Trials on the weekend of 9/10 Feb 2008.
In the 200m Jeffrey Lawal-Balogun continued his progress by winning a silver medal after coming 2nd in the final with a time of 21,53secs (21,46secs semi).
Sidcup 10 Results now published
Congratulations to all the competitors in the 2008 Sidcup 10 on Sunday 10th Feb. There was strength in depth at the front of the field, producing some of the fastest times for a few years. Ben Noad of Highgate was first home, breaking 50 minutes in a time of 49:58.
South of England Indoor Champs
The indoor season has started very well for Kent AC sprinters. A pb for Jonathan Brown in his first outing this season and 3 medals at the South of England Champs. New sprinter, or should I say our model, Ricardo Martin made his indoor debut.
Kent County XC 2008
The County Champs was again held at the County showground in Detling. The weather was good and the course was surprisingly dry considering the amount of rain fall in the past week. Initially it was a worry that we may not be able to get 12 people running as injury (Jermaine and Lenny) and sickness (Lee Hine) threatened our chances.

It was looking touch and go whether we could get a team out the Kent vets 40 cross-country champs in the lead up to Sat 8th Dec, with injuries and other committments. Let alone retain the team title.

Reports for all four matches in our first season in British Athletics League Division 1 have now been posted, so you can relive those summer moments. The adventure began in Cardiff with transport and accomodation problems due to a clash with the rugby international.
UK T+F Champs Report
The National UK Championships (Previously the AAA’s) have for over 100 years been the pinnacle of domestic athletes in Great Britain and this year Kent AC had a record number of athletics who had achieved the strict entry criteria.
New York City Marathon
Kent AC’s 110th Anniversary is in 2008.
To celebrate this fantastic achievement the club is planning a trip to run in the New York Marathon on Sunday 2nd November 2008.
