Cross Country season is well and truly upon us and there are many many opportunities for you to get involved in the lead up to the end of the year. Please consider which races you will be committing to and let Dan Pettitt or Sarah Hanley know using the links below!

SURREY LEAGUE ROUND 2
November 13th, Wimbledon Common
The second round of the Surrey League is next weekend. Captains will be sending out more details during the week but please let us know if you plan on racing using the links above.
SOUTH OF THE THAMES
November 21st, Aldershot, 2pm
Entry deadline is THIS Thursday November 11th
Please note that the location of this year’s race has changed to Aldershot (it was previously supposed to be Morden Park) and will be 5 miles in distance. Men and women race together in South of Thames championship races, and with Kent reigning champions in the both the Men’s and Women’s race from 2019 we have some titles to defend!
Due to the late change of the race, entries have only just opened and we only have a week or so to get the entries in, so please let Dan Pettitt know if you’re keen to race by Thursday 11th November

KENT COUNTY VETERANS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
December 4th, Dartford
Entry deadline November 12th
There is a team (three to score) and an individual competition with categories 35-44 (40-44 for men), 45-54, 55-64, 65 and over
To be eligible you need to have one or more of the below
A) live in the eligible area-Kent which includes Lewisham and Greenwich OR
B) born in the area OR
C) previously competed in the Kent champs

VOTE FOR JOE APPIAH FOR AW MALE BRITISH MASTERS ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
The multiple world and European masters champion made his debut this summer in the M50 category by taking the British 100m hurdles record with a stunning 13.85. He is also a fine jumper and tops the M50 2021 rankings at both long jump (6.07m) and triple jump (a windy 12.22m)

Time: 8.30pm
Points of interest include:
1. Proposed changes to club rules. The following Committee posts need to be created:
– Juniors Secretary
– Track Administration Officer
and the following post removed
– Junior Athletes Representative
Committee posts are described in the club rules, hence the requirement for the rule change.
2. Election of Officers.
This is a regular item on the agenda of the AGM. Posts are open for nomination although generally most post holders are expected to continue. That said, we are particularly interested to hear from any members who may wish to be considered for the following posts:
Committee posts
– President
– Membership Secretary (potentially as a job-share)
– Coaching Secretary
– Welfare Officer (woman; job-share/maternity cover)
Non-Committee posts
– Club Championships Organiser(s)
– Officials Secretary
If you have any motions to submit regarding the proposed club rule changes, and/or would like to be considered for any of the posts listed above, or would like more details, please let me know by no later than Friday 12th November.
JINGLE BELLS
A date has been selected for our annual festive event. Saturday 18th December after the SOT senior XC at Beckenham Park.

Sunday 09:00 – 11:30
Please note that individuals are permitted to do their own sessions during club opening times, but coached group sessions continue to take priority.

To make life easier for parents/guardians we have a 2021 track pass option. One single payment for the remainder of the year is now available.
Please purchase your Ladywell 2021 or November £5 junior monthly track pass in advance here. When purchasing the track pass can parents/guardians please enter the athlete’s name when completing the transaction.
